My Thoughts on Education:
I chose teaching because it is rewarding every day simply through the growth and achievement that you can see through your students. The intrinsic rewards far outweigh the extrinsic rewards. In my classroom, I think it is very important to create an environment in which every child feels safe, welcome and needed. With diversity on the rise, it is important to place all biases aside, create a level of equality and maintain that feeling through instruction in the classroom. It is important to address all learning levels and increasing student-centered learning can do this. If you build rapport with students, you will see great products, outcomes and behavior that reflect effective learning. My goals as an educator are to stay ahead of the students and to be a fun and effective teacher . I plan to do this by staying up-to-date with new ideas and methods and by being involved in my students’ learning. I want my classroom to be a place students want to be!
